The Panel on Construction of “Grassroots Legislation Liaison Training Base” is held in Tongji Law School

On the afternoon of September 22nd, the Working Committee of the People’s Congress of Caoyang Xincun Road, Putuo District and Tongji Law School held a panel on the construction of the grassroots legislation liaison training base in Tongji University, Siping Road Campus.

JIANG Huiling, Dean of Tongji Law School, HU Jieren, Associate Professor, XU Wenhai, Assistant Professor, LIU Bo, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, several graduate and undergraduate students of Tongji Law School, WANG Keyi, Deputy Director of the Working Committee of the People’s Congress of Caoyang Xincun, and SUN Yating, Liaison Officer of the Grassroots Legislation Liaison attended the panel.

JIANG Huiling stated that the grassroots legislation liaison of Caoyang Xincun is an important platform and carrier for the expression of democratic public opinion, and a link between the theory of rule of law and practice. He hoped that both sides would continue to strengthen the construction of this important training base, attract more teachers and students to participate, form a joint force with grassroots organizations, and jointly hold higher level theoretical discussions at an appropriate time to improve the quality of legislative work and truly realize the fundamental goal of building a democratic and rule of law China throughout the process.

WANG Keyi, Deputy Director, reviewed the development of the grassroots legislation Liaison of Caoyang Xincun, and expressed gratitude towards Tongji Law School for its contribution to the grassroots legislation work in the past two years. Over the past two years, the number and annual adoption rate of suggestions on legislative amendments put forward by the liaison have been among the best in the city Shanghai, becoming the “Through Train” for the public opinion of the community.
