The Intelligent Society Forum of 2022 WAIC is Successfully Held

On September 2, the Intelligent Society Forum of the 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference was held online and offline with the theme of “Intelligent Society and Collaborative Governance”. The forum was jointly sponsored by Tongji University and Yangpu District People’s Government of Shanghai Municipality, and co-hosted by the National Intelligent Social Governance Experiment Base (Yangpu, Shanghai), Shanghai Collaborative Innovation Center of AI Social Governance, Shanghai Research Institute for Intelligent Autonomous Systems, China (Shanghai) Digital City Research Institute.

Shanghong LU, Deputy Director of the Informatization Development Bureau of the Central Cyberspace Office, Lijuan MAO, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shouen FANG, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji University, Jiangang XIE, Secretary of the Party Committee of Yangpu District attend and deliver speeches respectively. Haijun YANG, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Cyber Information Office, Kan XUE, Deputy Secretary of Yangpu District Party Committee and District Head, Bing NI, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Executive Deputy District Head, Gang LU, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department attend the meeting. Peiming LV, Executive Vice President of Tongji University, presided over the forum.

The forum is targeting to face the opportunities and challenges of the intelligent era, to explore the operation mode, laws and regulations, standards and norms, policy system, institutional mechanisms, etc. of intelligent society, to enable the development of digital cities with artificial intelligence, and to promote the construction of “people-oriented” intelligent society.
