2021 Sino-Italian Judicial Forum-Civil Code and Roman Legal Tradition Was Held Successfully

On June 4, the 2021 Sino-Italian Judicial Forum-Civil Code and Roman Legal Tradition jointly sponsored by Tongji Law School, Sino-Italian School of Tongji University, Italian Studies Center of Tongji University and Law School of Pisa University was grandly held at Tongji University.

Representatives of teachers and students from the Faculty of Law of the University of Pisa, and the Faculty of Law of the University of Brescia, participated in this forum online.

The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by Prof.JIANG Huiling, Dean and Distinguished Professor of Tongji University Law School. Prof.PENG Zhenwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji University, delivered a speech on behalf of Tongji University. He introduced the development and advantages of Tongji University's legal education, and reviewed the history of cooperation between Tongji University and various universities in Italy, including the University of Pisa. He pointed out that this Sino-Italy judicial forum will further enhance mutual understanding and deepen bilateral cooperation.

Prof.Michela Passalacqua, Vice President of the University of Pisa, delivered a speech for the forum on behalf of the University of Pisa. First of all, she expressed her great honour to be able to participate in this forum and congratulated on the convening of this forum. She pointed out that China and Italy have a long-term strategic partnership, and internationalization is also an important work of the University of Pisa. She hoped that the convening of this forum can promote the internationalization of the University of Pisa.

Finally, this forum was successfully concluded in the summary of Prof.JIANG, Dean of the Law School of Tongji University, and Prof.Aldo Petrucci, Associate Dean of the Law School of the University of Pisa with a round of applause.
