On November 19, 2021, Prof.JI Weidong, senior professor of liberal arts at Shanghai Jiaotong University, former Dean of KoGuan School of Law, Dean of Chinese Law and Society Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and distinguished professor of Yangtze River Scholars from the Ministry of Education, was invited to give a wonderful lecture entitled Governance and Law in Digital Society.
The lecture was presided over by Prof.XU Gang, Deputy Dean of Tongji Law School, and was open to graduates and undergraduates. More than 200 teachers and students have attended the lecture.
Prof.XU Gang summarized the wonderful lectures given by Prof.JI Weidong. He pointed out that regardless of the individual's wishes, the digitalization process of society has been developing continuously. How to solve new problems such as algorithm bias and personal information security is a challenge to the existing legal system and shall be deemed as the power of innovation.
