Cultivating Excellent Legal Talents and Fostering a Subject Cross-fertilized Tongji Law School

Recently, the Shanghai Law Journal reported Tongji Law School about its history, discipline construction as well as talent cultivation.

On July 21^st, 2020, Tongji University announced the appointment of Prof. JIANG Huiling as Dean of Tongji Law School. He believes that "the most urgent task for Tongji Law School is to strengthen the infrastructure of the legal discipline, to follow the law of legal teaching and research, to cultivate outstanding legal talents; to seek the special path for Tongji Law School and to cultivate Tongji legal culture."

Tongji Law School is one of the first national bases for the cultivation of excellent legal talents in the field of application, the Shanghai bases for the cultivation of excellent legal talents and the Shanghai bases for the cultivation of excellent legal talents in the field of foreign affairs. Besides, it has recently been selected as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site.

What’s more, Tongji Law School focuses on German and European legal research, rule of law in urban planning and construction management as well as information technology law.

Law is a science that emphasizes practice. And the legal education of Tongji Law School also attaches great importance to the cultivation of practical ability.
