Prof.MA Changshan, Professor of East China University of Political Science and Law and Vice President of the Jurisprudence Research Association of the Chinese Law Society, delivered a lecture on "Law Towards a Digital Society" on March 19th. The lecture was presided over by Prof.JIANG Huiling, Dean of Tongji Law School. Prof.XU Gang, Deputy Dean of Tongji Law School, teachers of Jurisprudence, Constitution Law, Administrative Law, Civil and Commercial Law, Economic Law, as well as graduate and undergraduate students participated in this lecture.
Prof.MA Changshan maintained that the dual space, two attributes, and human-machine coordination in the digital era become a new type of justice that breaks through the framework of modern legal physics. This breakthrough has brought a crisis to the development of modern law and the impetus for legal reform at the same time.
Finally, Prof.JIANG Huiling summarized the lecture. He agreed that the digital society has brought a huge impact on academic legal study, but it also provides a strong impetus for the development of law. It is a lifelong mission for all legal students and researchers to figure out how to seize the opportunity in a crisis, how to pursue innovation in change, and how to build a society under the rule of law in a digital era.
